12-Week TRY Training

It is almost time for our 12-week TRY Training class! Prepare for the upcoming triathlon season and the Knox County TRY in June with our 12 weeks of training that includes strength training, stretching and endurance training in swimming, cycling and running. MEN AND WOMEN and ALL FITNESS LEVELS WELCOME! Invite your friends to join you in the camaraderie of the training group and support throughout your training! Yoga

Mix up your routine and try Yoga for a healthy spirit, mind and body. The Y offers Yoga classes three nights a week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Each instructor offers modifications for every fitness level. Classes are free for members and non-members may purchase a day pass. Adult Day Service

Our Bettye J. McCormick Senior Center offers care for young adults and older adults throughout the day with the same care you give. Our Adult Day Service program offers many activities and social time while you are away. To learn more about this important program, contact the center at (812) 882-2285.

 

Free Child Watch

Our Child Watch babysitting program is FREE for families with a household membership. Others may purchase a Family Day Pass to participate. Child Watch hours are Monday through Saturday 8am-12pm and Monday through Thursday 5pm-7:30pm.

 

SWIM LESSONS YEAR-ROUND

We offer swim lessons year-round for youth, as well as private lessons. The class is for ages 3 and older. Private lessons are for any age and can be scheduled by contacting Tiffany Petts at 812-895-YMCA or tpetts@vincennesymca.org.

 

Snow Day/All Day Care

With all our snow days and upcoming days off of school, register your children now for All Day Care at the Y! When school is out, they will have a fun, safe place to stay while you go to work. Registrations are always accepted and there is a one-time registration fee. Kids attending need to bring their lunch, swim suit and towel, and prepare to have fun with us! HELP OTHERS IN OUR COMMUNITY – BECOME A VANGO DRIVER

Are you looking for an exciting job where you can utilize your potential and use the latest technology? Van go is looking for 3 persons to drive floater/routes within the county. If you are looking to join a winning
team of progressive individuals dedicated to helping those with mobility needs, you maybe the right person for the job. This is a day position Monday – Friday. Weekend or evening driving for a special event is rare. Are your kids in school leaving time on your hands, come drive for YMCA VanGo. Retired and finding more time than you know what to do with, come drive for VanGo. Out of high school and haven’t found that perfect job, come and drive for VanGo.
